Youth

Our goal is to guide and instruct teens (grades 6-12) as they consider what it really means to be a follower of Jesus and to give teens the opportunity to live out the Great Commission. There are many opportunities for Christian fellowship and spiritual growth in our youth group throughout the entire year:

  • Youth Sunday School (resuming September 12)
“Echo the Story,” a 12-week Bible overview for youth using storytelling, creative reflection, and dialogue, helps students find meaning and identity in the biblical narrative.
  • Sunday evening dinner, Bible Study, and games (5:30 to 7:30)
  • High school girls group (meets twice a month)
  • Grow and Serve, a three-day camp that works on local missions projects in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County each summer
  • Passport Camp each summer
  • Passion Conference in Atlanta (yearly over New Years)
  • Retreats to Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center (twice a year)
  • Various local missions activities, including serving Saturday Community Lunch
  • An international mission trip to Mexico is planned for June 2022
