The Music Ministry of Harrisonburg Baptist Church is dedicated to praising God through music and to providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to play and sing praises to God’s glory.  There are many opportunities for both children and adults to participate in the music activities of the church.
The experience of praising God through Christian music begins at an early age! The Music Ministry includes a Sanctuary Choir, a hand bell choir (Jubellation), a ladies ensemble, and praise and worship team.
The Sanctuary Choir and the other choirs and Praise and Worship Band perform in the worship service and during special services and events. There are also opportunities for musicians to perform as soloists and in small groups in both worship services and in special music performances. In addition to weekly services the Music Ministry offers programs such as the annual Christmas Cantata and Easter presentations.
Whatever your musical talents – singing or playing – we have opportunities in our Music Ministry for you, including the leading of one of children’s choirs. We invite you to come and share in our wonderful ministry of serving our Lord through music. You will find that participation in one of our choirs is also a great opportunity for Christian fellowship.
Sanctuary Choir: Wednesdays 7:15 pm
Bell Choir (Jubellation): Tuesdays 6-7 pm

Hello. I am Miriam Clark, the music director for Sunnyside Retirement Community’s 9:00am Sunday morning worship service. We are trying to bring in special music each week to enrich our worship service and introduce area musicians to the joy of using their gifts in service in the retirement community setting.

Would you have a children’s choir or other small group that would be willing to come and provide special music some Sunday morning? Our usual slot for special music is early in the service; usually our musicians are free to leave by 9:15-9:20 if they offer one song. But sometimes groups come and provide 2-3 songs, either at one time or spread throughout the service. We can be flexible based on your interest and needs.

Thank you for considering this, and I look forward to hearing from you.
