Worship

Our “Community Worship Service” begins at 10:30 am each Sunday morning. “Community Worship” combines elements of both traditional and contemporary worship … services will be blended together to create worship that speaks to everyone.  There will be a wide variety of musical selections, readings and worship leaders.

Upcoming Special Services
Join us on Wednesday, March 6 at 6:30 pm for an Ash Wednesday Service as we begin our journey toward Easter Sunday together.  Traditionally, Ash Wednesday is a Christian holy day of prayer, fasting and repentance.  It is preceded by Shrove Tuesday and falls on the first day of Lent, the six weeks of penitence before Easter.  Ash Wednesday derives its name from the placing of repentance ashes on the foreheads of participants that reminds what this season is about.  You will want to part of this very special service in the life of our church.

As we continue through the season of Lent there will be a Maundy Thursday service on Thursday, April 18 at 7 pm in the sanctuary followed by the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, April 19.  On Easter Sunday, April 21 we welcome back former senior pastor, Tom Reynolds, and other special guests.  Our Adult Choir will be presenting an Easter Cantata.

Typically communion is observed the first Sunday of each month.  We celebrate World Communion Day on the first Sunday of October with a worship service with the Kachin Baptist Church.  The first Sunday of June is Youth Sunday and Graduate Recognition Sunday.  Our youth group leads all parts of the worship service and we recognize the high school and college graduates within our congregation.  There are special services during Advent and Lent.  At times we have musical guests and groups to provide special music and once a year we have a Praise Night and Hymn Sing.
