September Sermon Series!
Feeding Body, Mind and Spirit

A distinguishing mark of Jesus’ ministry is his care for the whole person.  He offered food for the body, mind and spirit.  Food is a natural entry point for discipleship, and some of the best discipleship continues to happen around the dinner table.  Gathering with others for a meal provided Jesus with the opportunity to feed people physically, intellectually and spiritually, and we aim to do the same through our programs this fall.  Food will play a central role.  Click here to view our Feed Body, Mind and Spirit brochure which list all the ways we will be feeding your body, mind and spirit.  We hope you will join us for some or all of these events!

Dairy Farm Visit & Ice Cream Social on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 5 pm.  Have you ever wondered where your milk comes from?  The church is sponsoring a tour of Stoney Run Farm in McGaheysville where we will have the opportunity to learn about milk production and farming practices, as well as see dairy cows and baby calves.  And what would a dairy farm visit be without enjoying some ice cream?  Come enjoy some of Homestead Creamery’s finest ice cream with us.

Community Groups are sermon-based, inter generational small groups that meet weekly to help apply each week’s scripture and sermon to our daily lives.  There are Community Groups that meet on Sundays at 6 pm, Tuesdays at 12 noon and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.  They all meet at the church and you are invited to join any group that fits into your schedule.

Dinner Groups are designed for the purpose of gathering 8-10 people together for meals, conversations and other activities in order to get to know one another better.  They will meet once per month for three consecutive months.  Children are also invited to participate.  You can choose to join a Dinner Group with children or an all adult group.

You can find out more about Community and Dinner Groups by viewing the brochure or reading our September newsletter.  Call the church office (540-433-2456) to join one or more of these groups or events.
