College & Young Adults

WORSHIP – Our Community Worship Service begins at 10:30 am each Sunday morning.  The service combines elements of both traditional and contemporary worship … blended together to create worship that speaks to everyone.  There is a wide variety of musical selections, readings and worship leaders.
BIBLE STUDY – At 9:15 am a class for those 18-25ish young adult is held to help you grow in community and grow in faith together. Topics are relevant to young adults. Singles who are working, attending college or grad school or who have just graduated from college and are looking for a place to fit in will feel right at home with this group. Anyone at any phase of their spiritual journey is invited to attend.
NEED A RIDE TO SUNDAY SCHOOL OR WORSHIP? – A HBC van will be on campus to provide transportation for Sunday School and worship.  Contact Brandon Hawley at 540-556-5334 or on Facebook if you need a ride.

MONTHLY LUNCHEON – A member of our church family opens their home to host a luncheon one Sunday of the month during the school year.  Our next luncheon will be Sunday, Jan. 11 after worship at in the church fellowship hall provided by the HBC Youth and College Committee. Other luncheons will be February 11, March 18 and April 8.  Transportation is provided from HBC for luncheons held off site.
Join a choir.
Participate in praise band.
Help with children’s choirs, Kids Alive! or AWANA.
Volunteer in the nursery.
Assist serving lunch to the homeless on Saturday mornings 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Touch the Harrisonburg community with the love of Jesus – no strings attached – through Operation Inasmuch during the spring semester.
Be adopted while you’re away from home! Join our “Adopt-A-Student” program in which a church member or family “adopts” you during the school year. They will take you to dinner, remember your birthday and form a special relationship with you.
