Class 101 – Newcomers Orientation Class

19
In his book, The Purpose Driven Life, Dr. Rick Warren reminds us that God designed us to be a part of a church family. HBC would like to be your spiritual family, and it’s the reason we want to share with you what we believe and the direction we are going.

The Newcomers Orientation class is a basic introduction to our church family and is designed for both newcomers and members. The class is a one-time class held on a Sunday mornings several times throughout the year from 9 am to 10:15 am and is led by our Senior Pastor, Mark White and Minister of Spiritual Formation, Rev. Eli Withers. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Harrisonburg Baptist Church, get to know other newcomers, and enjoy great fellowship.

We will explain what we believe, how we operate, and share some background about our church. We’ll answer your questions, provide information about our church’s future plans, and explain how you may become a member. At the end of the orientation, if you are not already a member, there will be an opportunity for you to decide whether to complete the process and become a member or wait and decide at another time.

If you have any questions about the Newcomers Orientation class, please contact Mark White at mark@hbcalive.org or at 433-2456.

Our next scheduled class will be held on Sunday, March 19 during the Sunday School hour.  If you would like to be part of this class, simply fill out the form below or call the church office.
