The Harrisonburg Baptist youth group has a lot of exciting things to offer teens throughout the year! Our purpose is to inspire students to become passionately devoted followers of Jesus Christ…one life at a time. Frontline exists as a ministry to equip young people who are passionate about Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to impact their world for the glory of God.
Join us on Sunday nights at 6:00 for Frontline, a time of fellowship for middle school and high school students (7th - 12th grade). Frontline begins with dinner, usually prepared by a thoughtful parent, followed by games such as dodge ball, scatter, or water balloon volleyball. We also spend time studying God's word and discovering how it impacts our lives.
There are many opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth in the HBC youth group throughout the entire year, such as the annual ski retreat, fall retreat, lock-ins, Student Life camps, Sunday school, mission work and much, much more. On Wednesday nights from September thru June there are separate Bible studies for both guys and gals. We meet at HBC at 6:30 p.m. (following the Wednesday night family dinner) in the youth room.
One of our on-going mission projects in the area is our sponsorship of an apartment at Mercy House. This is a great opportunity to serve others in our community. We know that we serve an awesome and mighty God and we strive to glority him in everything we do.
Cross(†)Walk (Youth Sunday School)
Cross(†)Walk (based on Galations 6) is the name of the non-traditional youth gathering on Sunday mornings. Youth in grades 7-12 experience an exciting time of creative Bible study utilizing a wide variety of multi-media resources.
